Hello, my name is Jeffy B., and I am a Whoser. I started watching
WLiiA? when it was showing on either the Showcase or Bravo channels
only on the weekends (this is before TCN came to be). Now I watch each
daily episode along with DLiiA? I'm also a fan of STC and IH&H (I've
been to six tapings of IH&H). I've always been a huge fan of any sort
of comedy and live theatre.
Hello, my name is Jenn (aka Ashinae) and I am a Whoser. I really
got into Whose Line when it started to air on TCN. But, I do remember
watching it a number of years ago when it was on YTV for a while...
I remember thinking how cute Tony & Chip were! I had the biggest little
crush on Chip :) Right now, those attentions are on our dearest Wayne
:) My favourite contestants are Colin, Wayne, Ryan, Brad, Greg and Tony.
Hi, my name is Jennifer (aka Jenn D.) and I am a Whoser. I can't
seem to get it out of my head. I started watching the show as I was
scanning the Comedy Network in Canada one day, soon after it became
available through our cable outlet. I found it hilarious and immediately
loved the comedy of Colin Mochrie and Ryan Stiles. I also found Tony
and Greg funny too. As I worked during the broadcasts, the only days
I actually watched were Wednesday and on the weekend, which did give
me a good taste of what the show was all about.
Lo and behold, the show taped in the U.S. and I found for six weeks,
every Wednesday night at 9:30p.m. I was glued to the set. It wasn't
enough and I learned how to program my VCR to tape it every single day.
I loved it more and more and decided to come into work early one day
and check the internet to see what kind of information I could find
on this show. My need for information was great and then I found the
Whosers. A great bunch of people who don't think I'm too crazy with
my obsession of the show, unlike some of my friends outside of cyber
space.
Now I find that I am coming into work earlier and earlier every day,
and during the evening as well, just to see what everyone has written
on the message board. I live vicariously through everyone's meetings
with the different cast members, as I have not met anyone from the show
yet, or for the matter from the computer!! I visit my friends in Toronto
more often, just because I might run into Colin somewhere, although
I realize that Toronto is a BIG place!!
But most of all, it's lots of fun. Only my Whose Line friends can understand
when I utter the words.. " Every song's a hit. Every hits a smack!",
or walk around like a chicken or dinosaur!! It scares some people who
have no idea what I am doing!! Although I know the Whosers understand!!
Now, October 23rd approaches, the day I hopefully get to meet Colin!
And best of all, I will get to meet him surrounded by Whosers! What
can be better!! I'll make sure to bring my camera and my lime green
jacket!!!
Hello, my name is Jessica A., and I'm a Whose Line-aholic. I
became addicted to the show late in the year of 1999. I walked into
the living room one night while my mom was tuned in, sat down and thought,
"hey, this is pretty funny." I watched the show every Thursday, also
tuning in to The Drew Carey Show, which I liked immediately because
two familiar faces were on it, Ryan and Drew. I quickly developed a
crush on Brad, fueling everyone's knowledge that my taste in men was
hardly the same as my peers'.
By then I was completely hooked, often screaming at my sister for changing
the channel to WWF Wrestling while I got my weekly dose of "my boys."
Then one day, while my mom was ill, she taped an episode of the UK Whose
Line for me to watch. My British grandmother loved it, and my mom told
me so, saying that the UK version was where she'd first seen Ryan and
liked him. I watched that one episode, commenting on how young Greg
looked and exclaiming, "Josie!" and "That's that guy in that one movie!"
when I saw Mike McShane. The only one I didn't recognize was Tony, who
I came to like very much.
Afterwards, I was hopelessly addicted to both versions, dancing around
my house when ImprompTuesdays aired on Comedy Central (giving me two
hours of my favorite British show). I was surprised later to find out
how many of my friends and classmates watched Whose Line as well, so
I was only mildly shocked to find a large online fanbase. I dabbled
in some of the sites, read up on the performers, filled tapes with episodes,
did almost everything except make it to Greg's show in San Francisco,
attend WhoserCon, and attend a live taping of the show (or a live show
of any of the performers, for that matter). Now Whose Line is my drug,
which I must have my daily doses of or I shall be very cranky.
Hello, my name is Joanne, and I'm a Whoser. I watched Whose
Line on HA! and then on Comedy Central; soon after the American version
began airing, I started browsing Whoser websites. Jessie's page (the
whosers page) led me to the mb, and then to my new favorite hangout,
chat. Along the way, I obtained a wonderfully excessive WL video collection,
thanks to our favorite saints.
Hello, my name is Julie, and I'm a Whoser. I became a whoser
in July 1998. My favourite WL games are Props, Party Quirks, Superheroes,
World's Worst, Hoedown. My fave player is Greg Proops (though Ryan,
Tony, Colin, Wayne, Brad, Rory, Steve ... well, a lot of them ... are
REALLY close behind!) My contribution to Whoserdom: Creating a WL FAQ
page, and the only WL fanfic page on the web! The weirdest thing I've
ever done as a Whoser: made a WL calendar - and gotten the players to
sign it! My biggest thrill as a Whoser (so far - I hope!): Sharing a
stage with Greg Proops on New Year's Eve, and telling a (admittedly
silly) joke that made him laugh! The best part about being a Whoser
is getting to meet all you nice people, even over the Internet! Y'all
are my family. Awww.... *sniff*. I hope to meet each and every one of
you in person at the convention! Peace, Love, and Party Quirks!!
